Havas Media Network India has announced the appointment of Tabassum Modi as Chief Content Officer and Head of Havas Play India to further strengthen its leadership team and drive growth across content, entertainment, sports and social marketing.

Modi will be based in Mumbai and will report to Mohit Joshi, Chief Executive Officer, Havas Media Network India. He will be responsible for the four key verticals under Havas Play India- Content, Entertainment, Sports and Social.

The appointment of Havas Play comes as it continues to expand its footprint in India’s rapidly changing culture, entertainment and sports marketing ecosystem.

Strategic Growth:

Modi, with more than 20 years of experience as a leader in media, entertainment and content, will drive innovation, strategic partnerships and business growth for the division.

Uday Mohan will continue to lead the core media business as Chief Operating Officer at Havas Media India.

Havas Play is Havas’ global sports, entertainment and culture network, unifying content, influencer marketing, fandom, experiential and partnership capabilities under one offer. Launched in India in 2023.

The division is a major player in the branded content and culture marketing space with a strategy that leverages media, sports, entertainment, creators and commerce, all in a relatively short period of time.

Its expansion has been driven by collaborations with entities like Lens Vault Studios (LVS), Gameplan Sports and SG Sports, Media & Entertainment, enabling it to broaden its reach into major sporting and entertainment properties.

Future Ready:

The network has also been recognised by the industry for campaigns across branded content, influencer marketing, partnerships and experiential marketing initiatives.

Prachi Narayan will continue as Managing Partner, Content and Entertainment practice, Havas Play and will focus on content development and strategic partnerships under the new leadership structure.

Uditvanu Das, AVP, will continue to lead the Sports vertical. Kapil Nair, Senior Vice President and Head of Social, Digital Content & Strategy at Pivotroots, a Havas company, will manage the Social practice.

Shruti Rajkumar, AVP Partnerships, will be responsible for the Growth function, and Debojit Banerjee will head the Sales function as Business Manager, Sales, supported by a growing regional team.

According to the company, the integrated leadership structure has been designed to drive greater specialisation and scale while enabling the delivery of end-to-end, culture-led brand solutions.
