Flipkart Appoints Priyanka Waghre as Senior Director, Corporate Communications
Priyanka Waghre has returned to Flipkart as Senior Director, Corporate Communications, after a stint at Eli Lilly and Company.
Flipkart has appointed Priyanka Waghre as Senior Director, Corporate Communications, marking her return to the e-commerce major.
Waghre announced the move through a LinkedIn post, revealing that she recently concluded her tenure at pharmaceutical company Eli Lilly and Company before rejoining the Flipkart Group.

Communications Leadership:
In her new role, she will lead corporate communications initiatives and help strengthen Flipkart’s reputation and stakeholder engagement efforts as the company continues to expand its presence in India’s fast-growing digital commerce ecosystem.
Prior to rejoining Flipkart, Waghre was part of the corporate communications team at Eli Lilly and Company. Reflecting on her time there, she said the experience gave her an opportunity to witness the company’s contribution to improving health outcomes in India and around the world.
“I’m grateful for the leaders and colleagues I had the privilege of working with, and for the friendships that made my time there truly special,” she wrote.
Speaking about her return to Flipkart, Waghre said she is joining the company at a pivotal time when e-commerce is playing an increasingly important role in driving economic growth, empowering entrepreneurs and expanding consumer access across the country.
She added that she looks forward to contributing to the next phase of the company’s growth journey.

Waghre brings nearly 18 years of experience in strategic communications, reputation management, crisis communication and brand storytelling.
Over the course of her career, she has worked with several leading technology and consumer-facing organisations, including Meta, Myntra, Infosys and Mindtree, in addition to her previous stint with Flipkart.
Her experience spans building brand reputation, managing complex communications challenges and leading high-impact narratives for both global corporations and fast-growing businesses.
The appointment comes as companies across the technology and e-commerce sectors increasingly invest in strategic communications to strengthen stakeholder trust, navigate a rapidly evolving business environment and support long-term brand growth.
