To commemorate World Photography Day, Canon India has launched the #CaptureWithCare digital campaign, with a strong focus on reminding photographers that safety should always be a top priority. This campaign is designed to educate the community on the importance of responsible photography practices, ensuring that the art of photography remains not only beautiful but also safe for everyone involved.

The rise of social media trends has unfortunately led to an increase in dangerous photography practices, especially among young users and influencers seeking attention-grabbing shots. This trend is particularly concerning in a country like India, with its population of 1.4 billion and a rapidly growing interest in social media. Disturbingly, in Uttarakhand alone, there has been a 63% increase in train track accidents over the past two years, largely due to the craze for selfies and Instagram reels. These alarming statistics underscore the urgent need for responsible photography practices.

In response to these startling facts, the #CaptureWithCare campaign was thoughtfully devised and implemented in two distinct stages. The first phase involved teaser posts on Canon India’s social media channels, featuring witty one-liners aimed at generating buzz and drawing attention to the campaign's message.

The second phase was marked by the release of a powerful video on World Photography Day across various social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X, and YouTube.
