Yum! Brands Appoints Rishab Mukherjee as CMO for KFC South Asia
Yum! Brands has appointed former P&G executive Rishab Mukherjee as Chief Marketing Officer for KFC South Asia, bringing over 16 years of marketing and commercial leadership experience.
Yum! Brands has appointed Rishab Mukherjee as the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) for KFC South Asia. Rishab is a marketing leader with over 16 years of experience in brand building, commercial leadership and business transformation across the Asia-Pacific region.
Mukherjee announced his appointment in a post on LinkedIn, saying he had already spent two weeks with the business and was immersing himself in the business, culture and operations of one of the world’s most recognised quick-service restaurant brands.
"I'm thrilled to share that I've joined Yum! Brands as Chief Marketing Officer, KFC South Asia!" Mukherjee wrote.

Mukherjee also spoke about his long-standing relationship with the KFC brand and expressed his excitement in contributing to the next phase of growth for the brand.

He added that he is excited to work with teams and partners across the region, saying “I’m looking forward to partnering with the amazing KFC South Asia team, our franchisees and agency partners across the markets as we carve out (see what I did there?) the future of chicken.”

Professional Background:
Before joining Yum! Brands, Mukherjee worked for more than 15 years at Procter & Gamble (P&G), holding several leadership positions in the Asia-Pacific markets. Most recently, he was Commercial Leader for Vietnam, Malaysia and Singapore, overseeing the company's brand function across the three countries.
In 2010, he joined P&G as Assistant Brand Manager, Personal Care New Business Development, where he worked on brands such as Old Spice, Olay Body and Camay. Over the years, he moved up the ranks into various senior marketing and commercial leadership roles.
In his career, Mukherjee has worked on a range of beauty and haircare brands including Pantene, Head & Shoulders, Herbal Essences, Rejoice, Aussie, Olay, Old Spice and Safeguard, leading haircare and beauty businesses across a number of Asian markets.
