Pat Cummins Pitches Australia as a Tourist Destination

Australian Test cricket captain, Pat Cummins, is the latest celebrity ambassador for Tourism Australia. The cricket star will be featured in a new ad campaign, "Come and Say G'day," aimed at enticing Indian tourists to visit Australia.

The campaign will be aired on Indian television throughout the highly anticipated five-Test series between Australia and India, which kicks off on November 22nd in Perth. The ads will highlight Australia's diverse range of tourist destinations and experiences, encouraging Indian travelers to explore the country beyond the cricket field.

In addition to the TV ads, Tourism Australia will also be running out-of-home and digital advertising campaigns in India. The agency is also planning to extend the campaign to the UK during the Women's and Men's Ashes series in 2025.

To further engage Indian audiences, Tourism Australia has launched a content series featuring former Australian cricketer, David Warner. The series showcases Warner's favorite Australian holiday destinations, providing viewers with a personal perspective on the country's attractions.

Phillipa Harrison, Managing Director of Tourism Australia, expressed her optimism about the Indian market. She stated, "The potential in the Indian market is endless, and we see the upcoming Test series as our chance to capitalize on the captive TV audience and promote our country."

The "Come and Say G'day" campaign, including the new ad featuring Pat Cummins, will go live in India on November 22nd, just before the start of the first Test match.
