Kotak Life Strengthens Leadership Team with Amit Palta Appointment
Kotak Life has appointed former ICICI Prudential executive Amit Palta as Deputy Managing Director-Designate.

Kotak Mahindra Life Insurance Company (Kotak Life) has appointed Amit Palta as Deputy Managing Director-Designate, strengthening its leadership team further with an industry veteran with nearly 30 years of experience across banking and insurance.
Kotak Life said Palta has deep expertise in building distribution networks, driving product innovation and delivering customer-centric growth strategies.
His leadership is expected to help support the company's long-term growth ambitions and strengthen customer engagement across its business, the company said.

Leadership Experience:
Palta joins Kotak Life from ICICI Prudential Life Insurance where he was most recently the Chief Products and Distribution Officer. In that role, he oversaw the company’s product portfolio and distribution network, contributing to the growth of the business and increasing market penetration.
He has also been a Nominee Director on the Board of ICICI Prudential Pension Funds Management Company since July 2020.
Throughout his nearly 30-year career in the financial services industry, Palta has held a variety of leadership positions.
He has more than 10 years of experience in senior leadership roles at ICICI Bank, including Senior General Manager and Retail Business Head across multiple regions, before moving on to lead products and distribution at ICICI Prudential Life.

During that time, his responsibilities included retail banking, liabilities, product strategy and marketing.
Earlier, Palta was also responsible for bancassurance and alliance partnerships at ICICI Prudential Life Insurance, managing some of the largest distribution relationships and strategic partnerships for the insurer.
He has also worked with Standard Chartered Bank, SBI Cards, Tech Pacific and DCM Data Systems.
The appointment comes as life insurers are looking increasingly to expand distribution capabilities, strengthen customer engagement and develop innovative products to drive future growth.
