Google Puts Shubman Gill And Gemini At Centre Of Pixel 11 Ad
Google features Shubman Gill in a Pixel 11 ad showcasing Gemini as an AI travel and cricket companion in Paris.
Google has recruited cricketer Shubman Gill to feature in its latest Pixel campaign, which shows a playful search for cricket in Paris demonstrating how Gemini can help users find experiences that are beyond the usual tourist trail.
The new Pixel 11 range ad follows Gill on a day off in France. Gill has nothing on his schedule so he asks his Pixel what he can do and gets to a more important question quickly: where he can find some cricket.

From Paris To Gully Cricket:
Gemini takes Gill into the formal cricket scene around Paris, first. But when Gill asks about gully cricket, the AI assistant tells him about tape-ball cricket and the Sari Cricket Club that plays in the local league.
Gill decides immediately that he will go and see and Gemini directs him to the club.
The innovative transforms a straightforward travel setting into a showcase for how Gemini can do more than just answer questions, it can help users take action.

Google Pushes AI-Led Pixel Positioning:
The campaign reflects Google's broader Pixel marketing strategy, which increasingly presents AI as a practical everyday tool rather than simply a collection of technical features.
Gill has become an important part of that strategy through Google's “Shubman has switched to Pixel” platform, which highlights the phone's camera, performance and AI capabilities. The campaign has also used Gemini-powered Camera Coach to position Pixel as a photography companion.
Google's wider Pixel marketing has similarly expanded into entertainment and sports, with athletes, creators and celebrities being used to take the brand beyond traditional technology audiences.
Pixel 11 Targets Premium Segment:
The Pixel 11 family consists of the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL and Pixel 11 Pro Fold, with the range powered by Google’s Tensor G6 processor and Gemini increasingly embedded in the user interface.
In India, the Pixel 11 starts at ₹89,999, the Pixel 11 Pro starts at ₹1,19,999 and the Pixel 11 Pro XL at ₹1,34,999. Pixel 11 Pro Fold: ₹1,86,999.
Google has also been expanding its footprint in India’s premium smartphone segment with better retail & after-sales infrastructure, local manufacturing and its own Google Store channel.
In 2025, the company also launched its Pixel Upgrade Program in India, which allowed eligible customers to avail no-cost EMI options and upgrade to newer Pixel devices upon meeting certain payment criteria.
