Godrej Enterprises Celebrates Indian Handlooms With Independence Day OOH Campaign

Godrej Appliances, the business arm of Godrej Enterprises Group, has taken its ‘Tested for Handlooms’ campaign outdoors across multiple cities, celebrating the diversity of India’s handloom traditions.

Launched around Independence Day, the OOH campaign showcases regional handloom fabrics and their association with different regions of the country. The installations highlight the craftsmanship and cultural heritage behind each weave.

Celebrating Regional Weaves:

The campaign has Patola from Gujarat, Pochampally from Hyderabad, Mysore Silk from Bengaluru, Jamdani from Kolkata and Bhagalpuri from Bihar.

Each installation is an attempt to celebrate the unique identity of the weave and to highlight the need for care of handloom fabrics.

The campaign links this cultural tale to Godrej’s washing machine technology, particularly its AI-powered Front Load Washing Machines, and its dedicated Handloom Wash program.

Tested For Indian Handlooms:

Godrej says the Handloom Wash program has been tested on more than 25 Indian handloom fabrics for up to 25 washes, giving consumers more confidence to care for handloom garments at home.

“Indian handlooms are the epitome of the country’s craftsmanship and cultural heritage, with each weave carrying its own story,” said Swati Rathi, Head of Marketing, Appliances Business, Godrej Enterprises Group.

The campaign, she said, aims to celebrate the diversity of Indian handlooms while simplifying the process for consumers to care for the fabrics at home, inspiring them to wear and love them with pride.

With an Independence Day message on regional craftsmanship and cultural identity in India, the initiative has Godrej club its product proposition on handloom care.
