Flipkart Appoints Vinay Vaidya as SVP, Technology for Supply Chain
Flipkart has appointed former Tata Digital CTO Vinay Vaidya as Senior Vice President, Technology for Supply Chain, to lead fulfilment, seller platforms, logistics innovation and AI-powered capabilities.
Flipkart has announced the appointment of Vinay Vaidya as Senior Vice President, Technology for Supply Chain to further strengthen its technology leadership as the e-commerce marketplace continues to invest in its logistics, fulfilment platforms and artificial intelligence-driven capabilities.
In his new role, Vaidya will lead technology and platform development for fulfilment services, seller experience, marketplace operations and trust and safety systems. He will also spearhead innovation initiatives that will bolster Flipkart’s logistics network and AI powered supply chain capabilities.
Vaidya has over 20 years of experience leading product and technology teams in the digital commerce space.

Technology Leadership:
Most recently, he was the Chief Technology Officer at Tata Digital and was responsible for the technology strategy, platform modernisation and large scale digital transformation initiatives for the company.
Before Tata Digital, Vaidya was with Amazon for nearly 18 years where he helped build core capabilities across Marketplace, Seller Ecosystem, Payments, Search and Browse and Amazon India. His background includes product development, engineering, customer experience and supply chain functions across categories including grocery.

Commenting on the appointment, Balaji Thiagarajan, Chief Product and Technology Officer, Flipkart said the company is increasingly focused on strengthening the technology that underpins modern commerce. "Commerce has evolved beyond purchases and transactions. “Today quality of customer experience is decided by tens of thousands of decisions made across supply chains, seller ecosystems, trust systems and fulfilment networks often before the order is ever placed,” he said.
