Saurabh Pandey has resigned as Head of Commercial Marketing at HP India after four years, saying he will announce his next career move soon.

Saurabh Pandey, Head of Commercial Marketing at HP India, has announced his resignation after a four-year stint in a post on LinkedIn.

Pandey, with more than two decades of experience with IBM and HP, shared his views on his career and the role of marketing in driving business transformation.

“Twenty-plus years across IBM and HP, India, South Asia, global markets have shaped how I think about marketing’s role in business transformation,” he wrote.

Leadership Journey:

Pandey described his time at HP India as a defining period in his career and spoke about the company's work in areas such as artificial intelligence, enterprise technology and category creation.

“HP India was a defining chapter. AI. Enterprise. Commercial. Category creation. And a team I'll always be proud of,” he said.

Pandey added that he had recently stepped away from the role and would share details of his next professional move soon.

“Earlier this week, I stepped away. What's next feels like the thing all of it was building toward. I'll share more very soon. To everyone who's been part of this journey- genuinely, thank you,” he wrote.

Pandey was the head of Commercial Marketing and was responsible for the marketing strategy of HP India's Commercial Business portfolio covering Brand building, Demand Generation and Integrated Marketing initiatives across Enterprise, Government and Small and Medium Business customers. He also managed marketing for personal systems, advanced computing, hybrid solutions and services.

Before his HP stint, Pandey spent several years at IBM, where he held a number of leadership positions, including Head of Marketing for Technology, Cloud, IT Services and Consulting for India and South Asia. He also has experience in market development and customer insights roles, including an international assignment at IBM’s headquarters in Armonk, New York, focused on business transformation and growth initiatives.

He previously held the role of Strategy, Value Consulting and Pre-Sales professional at Oracle and Project Manager at Datamonitor.
