The newly released Eveready film sheds attention to our people's unsung bravery and praises bold acts, because not all heroes wear capes — some carry candles. It relates the story of two lads who are playing cricket as the sun sets. One of them fires a tremendous shot, sending the ball flying into a dark woodland. Another child mentions his difficulty to retrieve the ball in the absence of light. In a moment of triumph, a determined girl, whom the boy had previously barred from joining in the fun, steps up and confidently goes on a quest to retrieve the lost ball using the Eveready rechargeable torch. Light is the only power that matters to her. The girl emerges from the darkness with the ball in her palm, guided by the torch's constant glare. With quick thinking and a rechargeable torch, she saves the day. Eveready, Hero Banne Ka Power (the power to become a hero) is the film's last message. It represents the brand's mission to empower and celebrate everyday heroics.
