Dineout co-founder Vivek Kapoor quits Swiggy, joins AyushPay
Vivek Kapoor, co-founder of Dineout, has left Swiggy to join AyushPay, a healthcare finance startup. Dineout was founded by him in 2012 and was acquired by Times Internet in 2014. He will be a co-founder and chief business officer at AyushPay.
Vivek Kapoor, cofounder of Dineout, has left food tech giant Swiggy to join healthcare financing start-up AyushPay. Vivek Kapoor was a co-founder of Dineout, which Swiggy obtained last year.
He was a member of Swiggy's leadership team after the company acquired Dineout from Time Internet for $150-200 million. Swiggy bought the online restaurant booking platform in May of last year, and Kapoor joined the company along with fellow co-founders Ankit Mehrotra, Nikhil Bakshi, and Sahil Jain.
"As I say goodbye to Dineout on paper, I'd like to express my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has been a part of this incredible journey." "We accomplished great things at Dineout, and it would be naive of me to try to take credit for Dineout's accomplishments," he wrote in his LinkedIn post.
Dineout was founded by him in 2012. Times Internet purchased this in 2014 through its TimesCity platform for an estimated 60 crore.
Kapoor, who was previously an angel investor in the company, has joined AyushPay as a co-founder and chief business officer. Nimith Aggarwal and Col Hemraj founded the health tech financing start-up in 2021 to provide funding and payment solutions to people in order to make healthcare more accessible and affordable.
