LT Foods announced the launch of the fifth edition of DAAWAT World Biryani Day with a personalised digital campaign featuring Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan. The brand celebrates its annual property for biryani lovers.

DAAWAT World Biryani Day is celebrated every year on the first Sunday of July and has been a global celebration of biryani since its beginning in 2022. The event, which is a registered Intellectual Property (IP) of LT Foods, aims to bring together Biryani lovers across geographies, cultures and generations.

This year, the campaign also enables consumers to create personalised videos with themselves and Shah Rukh Khan, to virtually join the celebrations. The initiative brings together AI, personalisation and entertainment to build interactive brand experiences around food.

Consumer Engagement:

Commenting on the campaign, Ritesh Arora, CEO – India Business & Far East, LT Foods, said, “Biryani is not just a dish-it is an emotion shared across generations, geographies and cultures. Five years ago, we instituted DAAWAT World Biryani Day because we firmly believed that biryani deserved its own special day.”

“Today, it has become a cultural moment owned by biryani lovers globally. This year, we wanted to make the celebration even more personal, immersive and memorable. Our campaign brings together food, technology and entertainment to create moments consumers will cherish and share with their loved ones,” he added.

“DAAWAT World Biryani Day belongs to biryani lovers, and this year we wanted to give them something truly iconic. What could be more special than sharing your love for biryani alongside the King of Bollywood himself? Whether you are cooking for your family in Mumbai or hosting a biryani feast in Hyderabad, this is your moment to shine,” he said.

LT Foods said the campaign is in line with its overall strategy of combining technology, entertainment and consumer engagement to strengthen the DAAWAT brand and celebrate one of India's most popular dishes.
