Footwear brand Crocs has launched the India version of its global platform ‘Wonderfully Unordinary’, with the monsoon season as the backdrop for a campaign that celebrates individuality and self-expression.

Drawing from Crocs’ partnership with brand ambassador Rashmika Mandanna, the campaign aims to connect with Indian audiences through relatable storytelling, while staying true to the message of the global platform of celebrating the uniqueness.

‘Wonderfully Unordinary’ was first released worldwide earlier this year and inspires people to embrace their differences. For India, Crocs has reimagined the platform with a monsoon-led narrative that taps into the energy, spontaneity and cultural significance of the rainy season.

Rashmika Mandanna Leads the Narrative:

At the heart of the campaign is the film, starring Rashmika Mandanna, which is set in a stylised world where conformity is expected. The rain begins and she slips into her Crocs Classic Ballet and the story shifts to a bright setting where individualism is center stage.

The film also stars the creators Swayamsiddha Priyadarshi, Krithi Yaradi, Kevin Zingkhai and Aryan Katoch, who each express their personality in unique ways through music, fashion and culture.

From a sitar performance, an unconventional horseback ride through the city, to spontaneous musical moments amidst urban chaos, the campaign uses the monsoon as a storytelling device to amplify emotion, creativity and self-expression.

Commenting on the launch, Carly Gomez, Chief Marketing Officer at Crocs, said the monsoon remains one of the brand’s most important seasonal moments in India, making it a natural setting for the local adaptation.

“Monsoon continues to be one of the most important moments for Crocs in India, making it a natural backdrop for this regional adaptation of our global Wonderfully Unordinary brand platform. The campaign is rooted in a universal belief that individuality should be celebrated,” Gomez said.

She added that the collaboration with Rashmika Mandanna and local creators reflects the confidence, creativity and self-expression of today's generation while reinforcing Crocs’ positioning as a platform for personal style.
