Burger King Launches ‘Boomer King’ Menu Inspired by Classic TV Shows

Burger King is offering a limited-time menu called “Boomer King” that mixes nostalgic pop culture references with themed collectibles and a new advertising campaign inspired by hit TV shows from the 1980s and 1990s.

Starting July 21, the menu will be based on classic series such as Charmed, Beverly Hills, 90210, Saved by the Bell and Knight Rider.

Each Boomer King meal is accompanied by one of four themed collectibles – a pair of Saved by the Bell socks, a Knight Rider t-shirt, a Charmed mug or a Beverly Hills, 90210 branded glass.

Retro Nostalgia:

The launch also marks the return of Canada Dry, and the addition of a Galak King Fusion dessert on the menu, Burger King said.

The brand has rolled out a campaign by Buzzman to promote the offering. The campaign film features retro-inspired visuals, music and opening sequences featuring actors portraying older versions of familiar TV characters, recreating the look and feel of 1980s and 1990s television intros.
