Uber's #SafetyNeverStops Campaign Highlights Women's Safety with Humour
Uber's #SafetyNeverStops Campaign Uses Humour to Address Women’s Safety Challenges and Promote Technological Features for Safer Transportation Across Platforms
Uber has unveiled its #SafetyNeverStops campaign, aiming to address women's safety challenges and raise awareness about its efforts to ensure safer transportation options. The campaign cleverly uses humour to spark discussions, featuring stand-up comedians Shreeja Chaturvedi, Shreya Priyam Roy, and Shashi Dhiman. The tagline, “Women’s safety isn’t a joke,” underscores the serious message behind the light-hearted approach.
The campaign includes nine candid films set in everyday public spaces like markets, offices, and transit stations, portraying real-life safety dilemmas faced by women. By combining humour with relatability, Uber aims to make the topic of women’s safety more approachable and engaging.
Ameya Velankar, Head of Marketing for Uber India and South Asia, explained:
“At Uber, our work on safety never stops. Through a mix of technological and human interventions, we are committed to enhancing safety. This campaign uses humour to balance the seriousness of the issue while fostering trust and engagement. It allows us to connect with audiences and showcase what Uber does to make every trip safer.”
