The BCCI has announced bids for title sponsorship rights for the Women's Premier League
Interested parties must pay a fee of Rs 1 lakh
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has requested bids from interested businesses to acquire the tournament's title sponsorship rights after raising Rs 4670 cr in the Women's Premier League franchise auction. The registration process will cost Rs 1 lakh, excluding GST.
Bids are being solicited from both Indian and foreign organizations.
"The detailed terms and conditions governing the tender process including eligibility requirements, the process for submissions of bids, rights and obligations of the title sponsor, etc. are contained in the 'Request for Proposal' ("RFP") which will be made available on receipt of payment of a non-refundable fee of INR 1,00,000 (Indian Rupees One Lakh Only) plus any applicable Goods and Services Tax. The process for obtaining the RFP papers is detailed in Annexure A to this notice. The RFP will be available until February 9, 2023. Interested parties should email the details of their payment for the RFP purchase to rfp@bcci.tv, following the procedure outlined in Annexure A. "It is clarified that the RFP papers would be released only upon confirmation of payment of the non-refundable RFP cost," said BCCI secretary Jay Shah in an official press release.
Interested parties that want to submit a bid must first purchase the RFP, but only those who meet the eligibility criteria and meet the other terms and conditions are allowed to bid. "It is made clear that simply obtaining the RFP does not authorize anyone to bid. The BCCI maintains the right to cancel or change the bidding process at any time and for any reason "Shah stated.
