Mahindra Group Appoints Shveta Arya as Group Chief Strategy Officer
Mahindra Group appoints Shveta Arya as Group Chief Strategy Officer, effective September 15, 2026, to drive growth and strategic value.

Mahindra Group has announced the appointment of Shveta Arya as Group Chief Strategy Officer, effective September 15, 2026. She will also join the senior management of Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd and be a member of the Group Executive Board.
In her new role, Arya will lead the Group Strategy Office to work across Mahindra’s portfolio of businesses to identify growth opportunities, unlock value and build long-term strategic advantage. She will report to Dr Anish Shah, Group CEO & MD, Mahindra Group.
Shah praised the appointment and said Arya has more than 20 years of leadership experience in business strategy and management consulting in a variety of sectors. Her experience in driving growth, shaping strategy and leading organisations thru change would support Mahindra’s efforts to create long-term value across its portfolio, he said.

Arya has over 23 years of experience with multinational companies and management consulting firms, all of which are listed on stock exchanges, coming to Mahindra. She has experience in the automotive, travel, financial services and telecom industries.
Leadership Experience:
Most recently, she was the Managing Director of Cummins India, where she was responsible for business growth, customer success, talent development and creating an inclusive and ethical workplace culture.
Before Cummins, she was leading strategy and M&A at Thomas Cook India. She has also held various roles at Kearney and Infosys building experience across strategy, business transformation and management consulting.
Arya is an Engineering graduate in Information Technology from Delhi University and has done his MBA from Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA).

Focus on Strategic Growth:
Mahindra will task Arya with working across the Group's varied businesses to find growth opportunities and enhance strategic value creation at Mahindra.
She has also been an advocate for women’s empowerment, diversity and inclusion. At Cummins, she was the program sponsor of a flagship initiative to make a large-scale impact in the lives of girls and women in India.
Arya has cross-sector experience in strategy, operations and transformation. Her appointment comes as the Mahindra Group continues to focus on growth, portfolio value creation and long-term strategic advantage across its businesses.
