Lenskart has partnered with POP MART to launch the Sweet Bean “I Want A Hug” eyewear collection in India, marking the collectibles brand’s first official collaboration in the country.

Eyewear retailer Lenskart has joined hands with global collectibles brand POP MART to launch an exclusive limited edition eyewear collection in India. This is the first official collaboration of POP MART in India.

The partnership was launched at a launch event on June 20, with actor Janhvi Kapoor leading the collaboration.

POP MART has built a global fan following through its character-driven storytelling and collectible culture, creating the viral Labubu phenomenon and popularising blind-box collectibles across Asia. The collaboration will introduce one of the brand’s most popular character universes to the Indian consumer in the fashion accessories space.

Taking cues from Sweet Bean’s popular “I Want A Hug” series, the collection includes 21 styles of eyeglasses and sunglasses that blend fashion, self-expression and collectability. The range features signature temple artwork, Sweet Bean branding, fun star and heart motifs, and character-inspired design elements.

Fashion Meets Collectibles:

The collection is made for consumers who view accessories as an extension of their personality, turning eyewear from a functional necessity into a fashion statement.

The launch follows the success of Lenskart’s POP MART collections in Singapore and Thailand, reflecting the growing influence of character-led fashion and collectible culture across Asia.

Commenting on the association, Peyush Bansal, Co-founder and CEO, Lenskart said, “POP MART is a worldwide sensation that has created the style statement for a whole generation. “We are officially bringing this cultural statement to India for the first time in history with this collaboration and this partnership is just the beginning.”

To add a collectible aspect to the experience, customers purchasing Lenskart Bitz frames will receive Sweet Bean-inspired magnetic Bitz charms in surprise blind packs. There are compatible frames for the charms, enabling users to customise their eyewear, whilst echoing the thrill of POP MART’s signature blind-box format.

The POP MART x Sweet Bean “I Want A Hug” collection is available in over 1,000 Lenskart stores across the country and on the company’s website, starting at ₹3,000.

The partnership illustrates the growing convergence of fashion, collectibles and self-expression as brands seek to connect with younger consumers through culture-centric products and immersive brand experiences.
