KRAFTON India has announced its esports roadmap for H2 2026 with two major Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) tournaments - BGMI International Cup (BMIC) and BGMI Showdown (BMSD) with a prize pool of ₹1 crore each.

The BGMI International Cup will see the participation of top teams from India, South Korea and Japan. The Grand Finals will be held from October 30 to November 1 at The Dome, SVP Indoor Stadium, Mumbai.

The international tournament will see 16 teams, including six Indian teams, five each from South Korea and Japan, giving a cross-border competitive platform to BGMI esports players.

Esports Roadmap:

Apart from BMIC, KRAFTON India will also host the BGMI Showdown, an invite-only tournament with 48 Indian teams selected through KIE Leaderboard, BGIS and BMPS.

The tournament will have a prize pool of ₹1 crore with teams competing for the same from September 22 to October 18 in the LAN Grand Finals.

Krafton India’s Associate Director – Esports, Karan Pathak said, “We are excited to bring bigger and competitive experiences for our players and fans with the esports calendar for 2024.

"Every season should be bigger than the last, not just in size, but in the quality of the competition it provides. “This is the culmination of all our efforts with this year’s H2 calendar. The BGMI International Cup brings some of the best teams from across Asia to Mumbai and the BGMI Showdown recognises teams that have been performing well throughout the season,” he said. “These tournaments together are about creating match-ups that our fans have been waiting to see and giving our players new opportunities to compete at the highest level,” Pathak added.

There will be several stages in the BGMI Showdown including Promotion and Relegation, Survival, Semi Finals and a Last Chance stage before the LAN finals.

With the launch of the new tournament calendar, KRAFTON India seeks to further consolidate the competitive ecosystem of BGMI and create more opportunities for esports teams and players in the region.
