Apple Rolls Out iOS 27, iPadOS 27 Public Beta 2
Apple releases iOS 27 and iPadOS 27 Public Beta 2 with bug fixes, performance improvements and Apple Intelligence features.

Apple has released the second public beta of iOS 27 and iPadOS 27, giving eligible iPhone and iPad users an early look at the upcoming operating systems ahead of their official launch later this year.
The new beta mostly focuses on improving stability, fixing bugs, and improving performance, while also continuing to polish features introduced in previous preview builds.
Apple Intelligence powers Siri, the redesigned voice assistant, which is one of the headline additions in iOS 27. The improved assistant is more capable of understanding the context of a conversation, managing multi-step requests and accessing information across apps like Mail, Messages, Notes, Calendar and Reminders without the need for users to repeat commands.

Beta Update:
Apple has also opened up Siri to work with some supported third-party apps. Visual Intelligence in the Camera app now recognises information from objects, such as event flyers or membership cards, and can use that information to create calendar events or add passes to Apple Wallet.
Screen Time is updated with improvements that let parents set app limits by category or create custom usage schedules for school hours, evenings or weekends.
Other improvements include background uploads for large files in Messages, full resolution shared albums, keyword tagging and star ratings in Photos, along with support for contributions from Android and Windows devices.

Other improvements include the ability to save individual video frames as photos, separate alarm volume controls, larger Home Screen widgets, a built-in equaliser for compatible AirPods, support for GymKit fitness equipment, and improved HomeKit Secure Video performance.
The beta is available to users through Apple’s Beta Software Program where they can register their devices and download the update through Settings > Software Update. Apple advises users to back up their devices before installing beta software, cautioning that preview versions may have bugs and could impact app compatibility or battery life.
