Rapido Gets 5-Year Cab Licence In Karnataka
Rapido gets a five-year Karnataka cab licence, allowing it to operate in the state until August 2031.

Rapido has received a five-year licence to run cab services in Karnataka, enabling the mobility platform to continue its operations in the state until August 2031.
The licence was issued by the Karnataka State Transport Authority under the Karnataka On Demand Transportation Technology Aggregators Rules, 2016. Roppen Transportation Services Private Limited operates the cab operations of Rapido.

Rapido Operates In 21 Karnataka Cities:
The approval will give Rapido regulatory continuity for its cab business and will enable the company to expand within the existing framework of the state.
Presently, Rapido is running cab services in 21 cities of Karnataka with more than 3.14 lakh captains and over 2.04 crore registered customers in the state. The company said that over 69 lakh customers have taken cab rides thru its platform in Karnataka.
Its network is extended to other cities apart from Bengaluru, including Mysuru, Mangaluru, Hubballi-Dharwad, Belagavi, Davangere, Shivamogga, Ballari, Kalaburagi and Tumakuru.

Rapido Joins Karnataka Urban Mobility Mission:
Rapido has also been roped into the Urban Mobility Mission of Karnataka government. The initiative will see the company work with the state on commuter access, urban travel planning, technology integration, safety and service reliability.
