Flipkart Expands Zero-Commission Policy Across Fashion Category
Flipkart has expanded its zero-commission policy to all fashion products, enabling sellers across price points to retain more revenue and grow their businesses.
Flipkart has expanded its zero-commission policy to cover all fashion products across price points, extending a seller-focused initiative that was previously limited to fashion items priced up to ₹1,000.
The move is anticipated to benefit about 90,000 sellers transacting in the fashion category, including micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), direct-to-consumer (D2C) brands and homegrown labels, by enabling them to retain a larger share of their revenues and reinvest in business growth.
As per the new policy, the platform will not charge any commission fees to sellers across the fashion segment, irrespective of the price of the product. The move is aimed at helping sellers widen their product assortment, improve profitability and scale up operations in an increasingly competitive e-commerce market, Flipkart said.

AI Tools to Support Sellers:
The Walmart-owned e-commerce marketplace said it will supplement the zero-commission policy with AI-powered tools available within its seller dashboard.
Such as demand insights, trend analytics and catalogue management features, allowing sellers to react faster to changing consumer preferences and optimise their product offerings.
The company is expecting the move to increase the participation of MSMEs and new brands in the online fashion retail segment, which is seeing growing consumer demand.
