Cricket Campaign Clash: Oreo vs. Jim Jam Pops Biscuits Showdown

Oreo is known for its captivating cricket campaigns, such as #BringBack2011 and "Oreo Bola Mat Bol." However, their unconventional approach in campaigns like "Oreo Bola Mat Bol," where they discouraged discussing Team India's success in fear of jinxing it, didn't prevent India's defeat at the 2023 World Cup finale.

In response, Britannia's Jim Jam Pops biscuits took a playful jab at Oreo's cricket-themed ads. In an ad by The Womb, actors Varun Sharma and Kunal Roy Kapoor humorously express concern over another potential Oreo campaign for the upcoming 2024 ICC Men's T20 World Cup. Given Oreo's past campaigns' outcomes, they earnestly request Oreo to refrain from releasing any ads for the tournament.

Drawing on Oreo's signature "twist, lick, and dunk" proposition, the duo urges Oreo for no more campaign releases and no more "twists." Although Oreo's agency, Leo Burnett, is yet to respond, the ad has garnered praise online for its boldness.
