Billboard India has appointed media and music industry veteran Preeti Nayyar as Chief Operating Officer to lead growth, partnerships and business expansion initiatives.
Billboard India has appointed media and music industry executive Preeti Nayyar as its Chief Operating Officer (COO), bolstering its leadership as it seeks to expand its presence in India’s rapidly evolving music ecosystem.
The platform, launched in partnership with Other Side Ventures Pvt. Ltd., said Nayyar will be leading the business operations, partnerships, revenue generation and strategic expansion initiatives and will be an integral part of shaping the next phase of its growth.

Focus on Growth and Partnerships:
In the new role, Nayyar will be responsible for business operations, P&L management, revenue growth, partnerships with the industry, and stakeholder engagement.
The appointment is aligned with Billboard India’s vision to build a broader ecosystem connecting artists, audiences, brands and industry stakeholders beyond its editorial and chart products.
As it seeks to increase its stake in the Indian music sector, the company is focusing more and more on areas like live experiences, awards, industry initiatives, and brand partnerships.

Industry Veteran Joins Leadership Team:
Nayyar has more than 25 years of experience in media, entertainment and music.
She has worked across print, radio, TV, film marketing and music, with leadership roles at organisations such as Universal Music Group, Disney, Radio Mirchi and the India Today Group.
Most recently she was with Universal Music Group for nearly nine years where she created and led UMG For Brands, the company’s culture and music marketing division for India and Asia.
Experience that closely mirrors Billboard India's growth strategy. The role focused on building partnerships between brands, artists and cultural platforms.
