Bikaji Invests ₹25 Crore in US Subsidiary to Set Up Local Manufacturing Plant

Bikaji Foods International has infused an additional $2.9 million (around ₹25 crore) into its wholly owned US subsidiary as the packaged snacks maker steps up its international expansion strategy with plans to establish a local manufacturing facility in the United States.

The company subscribed to 290,000 equity shares of Bikaji Foods International USA Corp, increasing the subsidiary's paid-up capital to $4.05 million. The investment does not change Bikaji's ownership, with the Indian company continuing to hold a 100 percent stake in the US business.

According to the company, the fresh capital will be used to set up a manufacturing plant in the US. The facility is expected to support business growth, expand the company's presence in the North American market and improve customer access by enabling local production.

US Expansion:

Manufacturing in the US is also expected to strengthen Bikaji's supply chain, reduce delivery timelines and help meet the growing demand for Indian snacks among the Indian diaspora as well as mainstream consumers seeking ethnic and ready-to-eat food products.

Established in 2023, Bikaji Foods International USA Corp is engaged in the trading of packaged food products, including bhujia, namkeen, sweets and frozen foods. The subsidiary has steadily expanded its operations, with turnover rising to $2.62 million in FY26 from $1.77 million in FY25 and $1.1 million in FY24.

The latest investment comes as Indian packaged food companies continue to strengthen their international footprint, driven by rising demand for Indian food products in overseas markets. For Bikaji, which has been expanding its global business alongside its domestic operations, the US remains a key strategic market.
