Amazon India To Bring Japanese, Australian Beauty Brands To Indian Consumers
Amazon India to add 100 premium beauty brands amid rising demand in India.
Amazon India is going to make its premium beauty and personal care selection a lot bigger by adding one hundred brands to its website in 2026. These new brands will include some well known Japanese, Australian, French and Middle Eastern beauty and fragrance labels.
The reason Amazon India is doing this is because they are seeing a lot of people wanting to buy premium beauty products over India especially in smaller cities.
Siddharth Bhagat said that Amazon India will now have brands like Dolce & Gabbana Laura Mercier, Elemis, Urban Decay, Aveda, La Roche-Posay and Biodance on its platform. They will also have brands like Anessa, Kokebana, Mystiqare, Goat Soaps, KANS and One Leaf.
Siddharth Bhagat also said that Amazon India has seen an increase in sales of premium beauty products. More than fifty percent. Amazon India has also seen French pharmacy brands do really well. They have grown two times bigger. Middle Eastern fragrance brands, on Amazon India have gotten three times bigger compared to last year.

Premium Beauty Growth:
According to the company people in cities are buying more and more premium beauty products. The company says that every year the number of customers buying premium beauty products is growing by 22 percent. This growth is helped by pack sizes that make it easier for people to try premium products.
The company told us that skincare is still the popular premium beauty product on their platform. Hair care and makeup are also popular. They also said that premium hair care brands are growing fast. Nearly 2.5 times every year.

Amazon India says that influencers and content creators are helping people learn about premium beauty products. They work with around 1.2 lakh content creators in over 500 areas. These creators help people understand what is, in the products how to use them and more.
The company says that now people are finding and buying products in one go. They do not have to go to places to learn about a product and then buy it. Everything is happening on the platform.
