Zomato has announced the launch of “Healthy Subscriptions”, a new offering under the Healthy Mode vertical. This will enable users to subscribe to structured, health-centric meal plans for multiple days.

According to a report by Zomato, the service is being launched first in Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru, as the latest foray for the company into the burgeoning health and wellness food segment.

Zomato Head of Marketing Sahibjeet Singh Sawhney announced the launch and said users can select from 3-day, 5-day or 15-day meal plans as per their requirements.

The price of the 15-day subscription package starts at about ₹250/meal.

Health Subscription Push:

Unlike traditional tiffin and meal-prep services that offer limited flexibility, Zomato has added a whole bunch of customization options to the product.

Subscribers can choose between lunch or dinner plans, and also swap individual dishes and change delivery dates using the app to suit their needs.

The meals are provided by restaurant partners already listed under Zomato’s Healthy Mode category and are based on high-protein and wellness-oriented menu options.

The company is also offering a free one-month Cult Elite membership to users who complete their first subscription cycle as part of the launch.

It is an addition to Zomato’s larger wellness ecosystem, which was launched with the introduction of Healthy Mode in October 2024.

The wellness filter has become a default ordering preference for more and more consumers, and the company said the Healthy Mode vertical has generated more than 10 million orders since launch.

The move also signals a shift in Zomato’s strategy towards recurring meal services.

The company was running Zomato Everyday, a home-style meal and corporate catering service launched in 2023, before shutting down the offering in 2025.

The aim is to move away from one-time food orders to subscription-based meal plans to provide more predictable demand for restaurant partners, and also improve customer retention and lifetime value.

The launch comes as food delivery platforms increasingly look at health-focused offerings and recurring revenue models amid rising consumer interest in nutrition, fitness and personal meal planning.

Healthy Subscriptions is also a reflection of Zomato’s efforts to position itself beyond convenience-led food delivery and deepen engagement with consumers looking for structured wellness and lifestyle solutions.
