Sony Pictures Networks India elevates Manu Wadhwa to Strategy Advisor role from July 2026
Sony Pictures Networks India appoints Manu Wadhwa as Strategy Advisor from July 2026 after seven years as CHRO.
Sony Pictures Networks India is making a key leadership shift as it names Manu Wadhwa as Strategy Advisor starting July 2026, marking the next phase in her long association with the company after seven years in the role of Chief Human Resources Officer.
Wadhwa’s move comes at a time when SPNI has been steadily reshaping its organisational structure and people strategy to stay aligned with evolving business priorities in a competitive media and entertainment landscape. During her tenure as CHRO, she played a central role in strengthening the company’s people agenda, focusing on leadership capability, performance systems and aligning HR more closely with business goals.
Her transition into a strategic advisory role signals continuity rather than a complete exit from the organisation’s core decision-making ecosystem.

Leadership Shift:
In this new capacity, she will work closely with the leadership team on key strategic priorities, bringing institutional knowledge and experience in organisational transformation to the table. For SPNI, this also reflects a broader trend where senior leaders are retained in advisory capacities to support long-term planning while allowing operational leadership roles to evolve.
The leadership change also comes with SPNI preparing to initiate the search for a new CHRO.
Over the years, Wadhwa has been part of leadership transitions and structural realignments, helping the company maintain stability during periods of change.
Gaurav Banerjee, MD and CEO of Sony Pictures Networks India, highlighted her contribution to the organisation’s evolution, noting her role in strengthening both framework and culture.
Wadhwa herself described her journey at SPNI as meaningful and said she looks forward to continuing to contribute in her new capacity focused on strategic priorities and growth.
