Safed’s Independence Day Film Puts Motherhood at the Heart of Unity
Safed’s Independence Day film highlights how a mother’s empathy and fairness can inspire a more united and compassionate society.
Safed launched its Independence Day 2026 campaign, demonstrating how values like fairness, compassion and empathy can reach beyond the home to inspire a more unified society.
The movie is about a DCP and mother, Divya, who has to deal with a volatile student protest involving youths around her daughter’s age. She’s dedicated to her job as a police officer, but she also views the protesters thru the eyes of a mother.
The emotional crux of the campaign is her line “Yeh bhi toh kisike bachche hain na, Sir” which asks the viewers to look beyond differences and see the common humanity that binds people.

This campaign is occurring at a time in which social differences can often drown out common ground. Safed tries to start a broader conversation about compassion, inclusion and the values that can bring people together throughout the film.
The film concludes with Safed’s message: “Na Koi Daag, Na Koi Bhed, Ek Maa Ka Dil Hai Sabse Safed.”
