Prega News Celebrates 19 Years With Independence Day Campaign Across India
Prega News celebrates 19 years with an Independence Day campaign highlighting India's diversity and the universal joy of good news.
Mankind Pharma’s pregnancy detection brand Prega News has launched a new Independence Day campaign to celebrate 19 years of being a part of families’ pregnancy discovery moments across India.
The film, conceptualised by FCB Kinnect, builds its central idea around the brand name itself with NEWS standing for North, East, West and South. The four regions have been used in the campaign to portray the linguistic and cultural diversity in India while focusing on the common feeling that comes with pregnancy news.
The film travels thru four homes in North, East, West and South India, where each setting represents a different language, culture, and a different way of expressing joy. There are stories of families telling grandparents and elders, couples celebrating privately, and a woman waiting for the right moment to tell her husband.

One Universal Emotion:
The ways of saying it and traditions can be different, but the campaign is about the excitement, shock and happiness of finding a new life.
The campaign celebrates 19 years of Prega News as a brand that has been a part of the first good news moment of millions of families. This is a presentation of the company's pan-India presence as a confluence of diverse cultures and a universal emotion.
The company claims that one crore Prega News pregnancy detection kits are used every month in India and the company has a certificate from an independent Chartered Accountant for Q1 FY27.

“The campaign is intended to show that while India speaks hundreds of languages, the reaction to a pregnancy being found out is similar across homes,” said Joy Chatterjee, Vise President and Head-Sales and Marketing, Mankind Consumer Products Pvt. Ltd.
The campaign has a smile as the central visual, which is an emotion that goes beyond India’s different languages, cultures and traditions, said Ankur Garg, ECD, FCB Kinnect.
The film ends with “NEWS” being expanded into the four cardinal directions of North, East, West and South, reiterating the brand’s pan-India presence with the message: “We deliver Good News across India.”
