Meta Verified will now be available in India, according to Meta.
Mark Zuckerberg made the announcement in a post, and he also said that previously verified accounts will keep their status for free.
Meta Verified as part of a membership bundle on Facebook and Instagram.
Subscribers will receive a badge indicating that their account has been validated with a government ID, as well as additional protection against impersonation, direct access to customer service, and increased visibility, the firm previously stated.
According to media sources, this subscription is ₹699 per month for iOS and Android3. The company also intends to launch an online purchasing option for ₹599 per month.
