As a part of its WealthCare initiative, HDFC Mutual Fund has rolled out a special investor education and awareness campaign to celebrate National Doctor’s Day, requesting healthcare professionals to pay equal attention to their own financial health as they do to their patients.

The campaign is built on the insight that doctors often concentrate on improving the health of others, while delaying their own long-term financial planning and personal aspirations.

As part of this, HDFC Mutual Fund has launched a digital film with an emotional story which turns the doctor-patient relationship on its head. The film reminds doctors, in messages from family members, friends, colleagues and loved ones, that those who dedicate their lives to caring for others deserve to plan for their future.

Financial Wellbeing:

The campaign is about HDFC Mutual Fund's Financial Health Diagnostic Platform, WealthCare, which helps doctors to assess their financial readiness and make smart investment decisions.

Through the platform, healthcare professionals can measure their financial well-being, see where they can improve, and access investor education resources through a dedicated online portal. It seeks to simplify financial planning according to one’s risk appetite and encourage informed investing.

Commenting on the initiative, Navneet Munot, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, HDFC Asset Management Company said, “Doctors dedicate their lives to the health and wellbeing of the society, often before themselves. “They know that health is a lifelong journey based on prevention and ongoing care.”

"Financial wellbeing develops the same way, through awareness and informed decisions made consistently over time. With WealthCare, as part of our Investor Education and Awareness efforts, we wanted to give something back to the medical community by offering doctors a simple place to begin planning for the future they have worked so hard to build," he added.
