Google Gemini Taps Shah Rukh Khan for India Campaign
Google Gemini taps Shah Rukh Khan for a new India campaign showcasing AI as an accessible, everyday companion.
Just weeks after featuring in a Hyundai campaign, Shah Rukh Khan is back in the spotlight. This time, he’s the face of Google Gemini’s latest brand campaign for India.
The campaign is conceptualised and written by Prasoon Joshi, Chairman, Omnicom Advertising India and is developed by Google in association with McCann India and Nirvana Films. Gemini is positioned as a friendly and supportive companion that can listen, understand and help users solve their everyday challenges.
The campaign also emphasises the multilingual strengths of Gemini, aiming to bring AI closer to the mainstream Indian audience.

SRK Brings AI Into Everyday Life:
The films depict Khan in familiar domestic and neighbourhood settings such as a living room and a traditional local shop, rather than the usual technology advertising.
"It’s all about Gemini Live – it’s about showing how conversational artificial intelligence can be leveraged in practical, real-world situations, and not just showing off technical capabilities.
In the first movie, Gemini Live helps a woman turn years of Kathak dance training into a home-based dance academy, with the goal of helping her achieve financial independence.
The second film sees a traditional shopkeeper use Gemini to rework classic products for a younger consumer, helping the business get noticed and trend on social media.

AI Meets SRK's Storytelling Style:
The campaign draws heavily on Khan's familiar warmth, charm and motivational persona. Dialogue such as “Mat kaho kharab hai takdeer, khud kheencho na kismat ki lakeer” reinforces the films' broader message around possibility and self-belief.
A nostalgic rendition of “Mil gaya humko saathi” further gives the campaign the feel of a film scene rather than a conventional technology advertisement.
The creative approach is designed to demystify AI by showing its usefulness through relatable situations and human stories.
