Reports from the Google News Telegram channel suggest that the integration of Bard into Google Assistant could happen soon, with a rollout expected as early as March. In preparation for the launch, Google has reportedly established a dedicated page within the Pixel Tips app to showcase the features of the upcoming Bard-integrated Google Assistant. However, this page is currently inaccessible to users.
The integration is anticipated to harness the power of Google's Gemini family of Large Language Models (LLMs), introduced last year, to enhance the virtual assistant's capabilities. Leaked details indicate that users will activate the Bard-enabled Google Assistant using familiar commands like "Hey Google" or double-tapping the side buttons.
Upon activation, the Bard-enabled Google Assistant is expected to provide users with various input methods, including typing queries using a keyboard, speaking commands aloud, or even submitting queries with accompanying images for context. A welcome message shared by 9to5Google suggests that the integrated assistant will assure users of its ability to continue offering hands-free assistance while hinting at expanding capabilities.
