Business Intelligence Platform Data Studio Is Now A Google Cloud Service
The Google Cloud Platform (GCP) now offers Data Studio, a self-service business intelligence (BI) and data visualisation product. Customers can now use the solution in accordance with the Google Cloud terms of service. This makes it easier to acquire new technology and integrate it into the company technology ecosystem.
On LinkedIn, Google Cloud Partner Sales Manager John Johnson writes, "This is another step in our effort to create an integrated Cloud BI experience for customers that enables them to govern self-service BI at scale.
The notion that Google will now ensure that Data Studio comes with the same security and privacy obligations as other Google Cloud services is another noteworthy advantage of the change. In fact, Data Studio now complies with PCI DSS and SOC 1, 2, and 3 compliance standards. These involve internal auditing, controls, and information system security.
Furthermore, the vendor promises that further compliance certifications are in the pipeline. The user experience with Data Studio won't change, according to Google Cloud, as long as the solution is still offered under the same terms and conditions.
The end-user experience for Data Studio is relatively untouched by this additional certification in any way. Customers' access to all of Data Studio's self-service BI capability is completely unchanged, so clients can continue to analyse their data, create stunning reports, and share insights. Data Studio will still be offered to clients who aren't yet using Google Cloud under the same terms and conditions.
When everyone is given the ability to explore data, the outcomes may be transformative. Our investment in bringing the power of Google Cloud to everyone with simple cloud BI.
