Burson Group Appoints Kapil Sharma As Chief Client Officer For India
Burson Group has appointed Kapil Sharma as Chief Client Officer for India to strengthen client relationships and support the company’s growth strategy.
Burson Group has appointed Kapil Sharma as Chief Client Officer for its India operations as the company seeks to deepen client relationships and accelerate business growth in the country.
Sharma will report to Deepshikha Dharmaraj.
The appointment is part of Burson’s strategy to enhance its client servicing capabilities and expand its footprint across key sectors in India, the company said.
Sharma rejoins Burson after starting his communications career in the company's Associate Learning Programme.
He has more than twenty years of experience in communications, reputation management and integrated brand strategy across global companies.

Client Growth Strategy:
Prior to joining Burson again, Sharma spent more than a decade with Ford Motor Company as Head of Communications for India handling corporate, brand, social and CSR communications.
More recently he worked in Bangkok as Director of Communications for Ford’s International Markets Group where he led product communications across nine international markets while driving integrated go-to-market communication initiatives.
Earlier in his career, Sharma also worked for communication for BMW India.
Commenting on the appointment, Dharmaraj said Sharma’s experience in global communications and integrated strategy would bolster Burson’s growth ambitions in India.

According to the company, Sharma will focus on managing strategic client relationships, supporting business development and driving expansion across sectors including automotive, aviation, travel, manufacturing, renewable energy and professional services.
He will also join Burson India’s management team and contribute to the agency’s broader growth and expansion strategy in the market.
