Bonn Group Strengthens FMCG Presence With Celebrity-Led Strategy

Bonn Group is reinforcing its branding strategy by combining celebrity endorsements, product innovation and AI-powered marketing as it looks to strengthen consumer recall and expand its presence in India's competitive FMCG market.

The bakery and packaged foods company has renewed Bollywood actor Katrina Kaif as its brand ambassador, continuing a long-standing partnership that the company says has helped build strong brand recognition across regions and consumer segments.

According to Bonn, Kaif's appeal across age groups and geographies has enabled the brand to maintain visibility across television, digital platforms, e-commerce and retail channels.

Beyond Katrina Kaif, the company has expanded its celebrity portfolio to improve regional reach. Actors Karisma Kapoor and Sonam Bajwa have previously represented the brand, while Punjabi film stars Gippy Grewal and Sargun Mehta are promoting Americana's Flick biscuit range as part of a regional marketing campaign linked to the Carry On Jatta franchise.

Brand Innovation:

Alongside celebrity-led campaigns, Bonn has continued to expand its product portfolio. Under its Americana brand, the company launched TOP Biscuits with the campaign "Taste Mein Top, Crispy Non-Stop" and introduced a Mango Flavoured Creme variant to the Flick biscuit range alongside Strawberry, Coconut and Vanilla flavours.

In the bread category, Bonn launched what it describes as India's first Desi Twist Breads, featuring variants such as Lehsuni Tadka, Digestive Ajwaini Jeera and Missi, aimed at bringing Indian flavours into the packaged bread segment.

The launch was supported by AI-generated digital videos, followed by large-format outdoor advertising across Delhi-NCR, allowing the campaign to extend from social media to physical retail touchpoints.

According to the company, its AI-powered video campaigns, Katrina Kaif advertisements and recent product launch films have collectively generated more than 500 million views across digital platforms.

Commenting on the strategy, Amrinder Singh, Director, Bonn Group, said, "In today's fast-moving consumer landscape, brands need to create relevance at every touchpoint. Our collaborations with celebrated personalities such as Karisma Kapoor, Sonam Bajwa and Katrina Kaif have helped Bonn go beyond advertising and build stronger emotional connections with consumers."

"When supported by quality products, extensive distribution and consistent visibility, celebrity endorsements become powerful catalysts for brand growth. At Bonn, we view these partnerships as strategic investments in long-term brand equity and consumer trust," he added.

The company said it will continue investing in celebrity partnerships, AI-driven marketing and product innovation as part of its long-term strategy to strengthen brand equity and deepen consumer engagement across markets.
