Apple Revenue Rises 16% in Q2 FY27; Tim Cook Calls India One of Fastest-Growing Markets
Apple posted 16% revenue growth in Q2 FY27, with Tim Cook highlighting India as one of the company's fastest-growing markets.
Apple reported a 16% year-on-year revenue increase to $143.76 billion for its fiscal year 2027 second quarter, driven by robust demand for its latest iPhone series and sustained growth in its high-margin services business.
Apple Chief Executive Officer Tim Cook said India was one of Apple’s fastest growing markets, citing strong double digit revenue growth even as iPhone shipments fell during the period.
“We grew in developed markets and emerging markets, and we grew very strongly in double digits in markets like India,” Cook said on the company’s earnings call.
He said the Mac business had its best quarter ever for new customers and upgrades for existing users around the world including India.

Apple also set June quarter revenue records in all geographic segments, demonstrating broad-based demand across its markets. "We set June quarter revenue records in every geographic segment. “We were pleased to see strength across the board with June quarter records in the U.S., Latin America, Western Europe, India, China mainland, Japan and Southeast Asia,” Cook said.
The company’s flagship iPhone business brought in $85.27 billion in revenue in the quarter, up 23% from a year earlier, helped by strong demand for the iPhone 17 series launched in September.
Mac revenue was $8.39 billion. iPad revenue increased 6% year-over-year to $8.6 billion. Wearables, Home and Accessories added $11.49 billion to the top line in the quarter.
Apple’s Services division, which includes Apple TV+, iCloud, AppleCare, licensing agreements and advertising, continued to build on its strong momentum, with revenue up 14% year-over-year to $26.34 billion.

Looking ahead, Apple's Chief Financial Officer Kevan Parekh said Apple expects revenue for the current quarter to grow between 13% and 16% year-on-year, implying sales in the range of $107.8 billion to $110.66 billion. The company remains optimistic on demand across its hardware and services businesses.
