After much speculation and a series of promotional materials hinting at a change of host, Jio Cinema has finally confirmed that Anil Kapoor will be the new host of Bigg Boss OTT, season 3. The OTT platform made the announcement on Thursday, unveiling a poster and revealing the date the popular reality show will begin streaming.

Anil Kapoor takes over from Salman Khan, who hosted the second season of the digital edition of Bigg Boss. The first season was hosted by Karan Johar. The announcement from Jio Cinema read, “Presenting ‘Anil Kapoor’ as the new host for Bigg Boss OTT 3!!! From reigning on the big screen to now ruling the Bigg Boss house, AnilKapoor is kuch extra khaas! Witness his magic in #BiggBossOTT3 starting 21 June, exclusively on JioCinema Premium,” posted on their X (formerly Twitter) handle.

Fans were ecstatic about Anil Kapoor stepping into the role of the host. One user on X wrote, “Welcome the great Anil Kapoor,” while another commented, “Cannot wait.” Despite the excitement, some fans expressed that they would miss Salman Khan as the host. There were also curious inquiries about the contestants for Bigg Boss OTT 3, though it seems fans will have to wait until June 21 to learn more.

Additionally, Sonam Kapoor recently shared a promotional video for Bigg Boss OTT 3 on her Instagram stories, expressing her enthusiasm with the caption, “They’ve got the most talented, hardworking and handsome man onboard!”
