Adobe Brings Acrobat PDFs to WhatsApp
Adobe and WhatsApp bring Acrobat-powered PDF viewing and editing to WhatsApp Web and Windows.

Adobe and WhatsApp have teamed up to bring Acrobat-powered PDF capabilities to WhatsApp Web and Windows, allowing users to open, review and edit PDF documents directly within chats without downloading files or switching between applications.
The new features include in-chat PDF previews, full screen view, support for password protected documents, and basic annotation tools such as highlighting, underlining, striking through text, and freehand drawing.

PDF Integration:
Users will be able to scroll, zoom and read PDFs shared in the chat directly within the WhatsApp conversations. Adobe said that password protected files are still safe and that documents are still protected by WhatsApp end-to-end encryption.
"Acrobat is built to power document workflows wherever people communicate and bringing it to WhatsApp extends those capabilities to one of the world's largest messaging platforms," Abhigyan Modi, Senior Vice President, Creativity & Productivity Business at Adobe, said commenting on the launch.

In addition to basic annotations, users can choose "Edit in Acrobat" to access advanced features such as editing documents, organising files, applying digital signatures, and setting passwords for protection. Subscribers can also use the Acrobat AI Assistant to summarise documents, answer questions and extract key insights.
Users can then share the edited PDF back into the original WhatsApp thread once edits are completed.
The integration is designed to facilitate collaboration on documents such as invoices, contracts, forms, assignments, catalogues and travel itineraries and allows users to continue talking while viewing and editing files on larger screens via WhatsApp Web and Windows.
