Zee Media Appoints Digital Ad Sales Veteran Jain to Lead Cross-Platform Revenue Growth

Zee Media has appointed Jain to strengthen its advertising revenue strategy across digital and broadcast platforms, bringing in a senior media executive with more than two decades of experience across print, television, radio and digital ecosystems.

Jain joins the company from TV9 Network, where he spent seven years building and leading the network’s digital advertising sales operations. Most recently serving as Vice President – Digital Ad Sales, he played a key role in shaping the organisation’s digital monetisation approach and expanding integrated advertising solutions across its platforms.

He first joined TV9 Network in June 2019 as Deputy Vice President, initially managing advertising sales for TV9 Bharatvarsh. As the company’s digital operations expanded, Jain moved into a broader network-level role in 2020 to lead digital ad sales across the group. His responsibilities included driving revenue from digital platforms while building cross-platform solutions that combined television reach with digital targeting capabilities. In April 2024, he was elevated to Vice President, further expanding his leadership role in the network’s digital monetisation strategy.

During his tenure at TV9 Network, Jain contributed to strengthening cross-platform advertising offerings, reflecting a broader shift within media companies toward integrated revenue models. With audiences increasingly consuming content across multiple devices and platforms, media organisations have been restructuring their advertising operations to deliver unified campaigns spanning television, digital publishing, social media, and connected TV environments.

Jain’s professional career spans more than 25 years and covers multiple segments of the media industry. Over the course of his career, he has held roles at organisations including Disney Star India, Fox International Channels, National Geographic Channel, Red FM, Times Internet, NDTV Good Times, Bennett Coleman and Company Limited and Eenadu Television. Earlier in his career, he began his professional journey at Amar Ujala, where he worked across multiple roles during two separate stints.

In his new role at Zee Media, Jain will focus on strengthening relationships with agencies and advertisers while driving revenue across the company’s expanding media ecosystem. His mandate includes overseeing advertising growth across publishing platforms, YouTube, live television, video-on-demand, connected TV and OTT environments. He will also be responsible for shaping the company’s broader digital revenue strategy.

The appointment reflects the increasing importance of digital monetisation within traditional media organisations. As advertising budgets continue to shift toward measurable, data-driven formats, media companies are restructuring their revenue teams to integrate broadcast and digital inventory into unified offerings.

For broadcasters such as Zee Media, the challenge lies in balancing the reach of television with the precision targeting capabilities of digital platforms. Cross-platform advertising solutions have become a critical focus as brands seek campaigns that combine mass visibility with performance metrics.

Jain’s experience across multiple media formats positions him to navigate this transition. With advertisers looking for integrated media partnerships rather than isolated ad placements, leadership roles focused on digital revenue and platform convergence are becoming central to how media companies compete in the evolving advertising landscape.
