Kellogg’s Multigrain Chocos has launched Food Ninja, an anime-inspired card game that aims to make nutrition education fun for children and promote family engagement through play.

The game, which comes free with Kellogg’s Multigrain Chocos packs, combines strategy-based gameplay, collectability and anime-inspired characters to create an experience that goes beyond breakfast time.

The program is being developed to meet the growing interest of children in anime entertainment and collectible card games. The children learn the nutritional value of different foods through game play in a format that is both educational and fun.

Learning Through Play:

The card game encourages repeat play, strategic thinking and parent-child interaction to help children develop a better understanding of nutrition in a fun and interactive way, the company said.

Commenting on the launch, Vinay Subramanyam, Senior Director – Marketing, Kellanova India, said, “Nutrition is often a key priority for moms, while for children, fun and play often come first. With the Food Ninja card game, we wanted to bridge these two worlds by creating an experience that children would enjoy, while also giving moms the confidence that their child is engaging with something educational.”

“The idea was to make learning about the nutritional value of different foods more interactive, fun and relevant through a format inspired by the gaming and anime culture children already love,” he added.

Anime Appeal:

Kellanova India mentioned that the initiative reflects the growing popularity of game-led experiences and anime-inspired content among the younger audience. The company believes that these kinds of culturally relevant formats can help make educational topics more accessible and engaging for kids.

The Food Ninja card game will be available free with the Kellogg’s Multigrain Chocos range across India for a limited period in June-July 2026.
