IDFC FIRST Bank has rolled out a new digital campaign featuring actor Sumeet Vyas to challenge the banking practices that consumers have accepted as standard for years, even if they are not always aligned to their financial needs.

Multi-film campaign conceptualised by Schbang, is based on a simple insight, most financial obligations such as rent, utility bills and subscription payments follow a monthly cycle, while savings account interest has traditionally been credited quarterly. The campaign challenges these conventions and shows how banking systems are often built around institutional processes rather than customer convenience.

Spotlight on Customer-Centric Banking:

The campaign, using a series of digital films, spotlights two of the bank’s core offerings- monthly interest credits on savings accounts and no charges on savings account withdrawals.

Instead of showing them as product features, the films present them as solutions that are better adapted to the way that consumers deal with their money on a daily basis.

The campaign is designed to encourage consumers to re-think the way they bank and whether the way they have always done things still works for them.

Sumeet Vyas Fronts the Campaign:

Actor Sumeet Vyas has been roped in as the face of the campaign. The bank said in a statement that the actor’s screen presence is relatable and straightforward and makes him a natural fit for its communication philosophy of “Straightforward and Clear Banking”.

The films use everyday scenarios and conversational storytelling to make talking about banking more accessible and easy to understand.

The campaign targets a broad demographic, including students, working professionals, families and senior citizens, by addressing common frustrations around banking complexity.

The campaign is currently live across digital platforms and forms part of IDFC FIRST Bank’s broader effort to reinforce its positioning around transparency, simplicity and customer-first banking.
