Hyundai Creta Electric SUV Redefines Mobility with Cutting-Edge Features

Hyundai Motor India has unveiled the Hyundai Creta Electric, its first locally manufactured electric SUV designed to revolutionize India’s EV market. This launch is accompanied by a striking TVC, “India is now Ready; Electric is now Creta”, addressing the pertinent question, “Why Now?”.

The Creta Electric boasts a pixelated design, featuring a front grille with an integrated charging port, LED tail lamps, and an aerodynamic lower bumper. It also integrates Active Air Flaps (AAF) for optimized airflow and cooling, along with R17 Aero Alloy Wheels and Low Rolling Resistance (LRR) tyres, ensuring better efficiency and range.

Performance enthusiasts will be thrilled by its impressive acceleration of 0-100 km/h in just 7.9 seconds (Long Range variant). It offers two battery options: a 51.4 kWh battery with a 473 km range and a 42 kWh battery with a 390 km range.

The charging options cater to varied user needs, with DC fast charging achieving 10%-80% in only 58 minutes and AC home charging (11kW) taking four hours for a full charge.

The Creta Electric also brings advanced technology to the forefront. Its Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) functionality allows users to power external devices, while the i-Pedal system offers convenient one-pedal driving. A Shift-by-Wire system simplifies gear control, and the Digital Key enables users to access and start the vehicle using a smartphone or smartwatch.

Available in four variants—Executive, Smart, Premium, and Excellence—the SUV offers ten color options, including three matte finishes.

Beyond the vehicle, Hyundai is committed to building a robust EV ecosystem. Plans are in place to establish 600 public fast-charging stations over seven years. The myHyundai app offers access to over 10,000 EV charging points across the country, emphasizing convenience for EV users.

Speaking about the launch, Tarun Garg, COO of Hyundai Motor India, stated, “The Hyundai Creta Electric represents a milestone as our first localized electric SUV. Combining design, technology, and safety, it inspires confidence in Indian customers, ensuring there’s a Creta for everyone.”

With its innovative features, Hyundai Creta Electric is set to redefine the EV segment in India, making sustainable mobility both practical and desirable.
