Google Rolls Out Gemini Spark in India for AI-Powered Task Automation
Google has launched Gemini Spark in India, an AI agent that automates digital tasks across Gmail, Docs, Sheets and more.

Google has announced the launch of Gemini Spark in India, and will be rolling out its AI-powered agent experience to Google AI Pro subscribers in the coming weeks. The feature is also available for Google AI Ultra subscribers and aims to automate routine digital tasks across Google’s ecosystem.
Gemini Spark, based on Gemini 3.6 Flash, is able to continue working in the background even when a user's laptop is closed or their smartphone is locked. The AI agent is hosted on Google’s cloud infrastructure and integrates smoothly with Google Workspace apps like Gmail, Docs and Sheets with no extra setup required.
Unlike traditional chatbots that just respond to prompts, Gemini Spark is designed to carry out ongoing tasks based on user instructions. Users can enable the feature or not, choose the Google apps it can access, and decide what tasks they want to automate.

AI Automation:
Gemini Spark asks for your permission before it takes sensitive actions, such as sending an email or making a purchase, putting you in control of important decisions.
The AI agent can help automate a number of personal and professional workflows. It can pull flight and hotel details from Gmail into a Google Sheet for users, recommend travel activities, update calendars, collate responses to events and generate guest information summaries.
Gemini Spark can analyse invoices in Gmail for financial management, spot price increases on subscriptions or trials nearing expiration, and draft cancellation emails for your review.

Business users can also set up the agent to scan customer queries, draft responses based on existing service information and save replies as email drafts.
Gemini Spark can study a user’s past emails to build a personalised writing style guide, letting the AI agent compose future messages in a similar tone, Google said.
The launch is part of Google’s larger move toward AI agents that can take the initiative to do things but leave the user in control of access, approvals and decisions.
