Gokul Agro’s Vitalife Takes On 'Ordering In' Culture in New Glassbox-Led Campaign
Gokul Agro Resources launches a national campaign for Vitalife edible oil, encouraging a return to home cooking over food delivery apps.
Gokul Agro Resources has unveiled a national brand initiative for its edible oil brand, Vitalife. Centered on the slogan “Swaad Swaad Mein Sehat” (Health in Every Bite), the campaign aims to tackle the growing reliance on food delivery apps, dining out, and pre-packaged convenience meals across urban India.
Rather than positioning Vitalife directly against rival cooking oil manufacturers, the strategic focus shifts toward addressing changing consumer eating habits and fast-paced modern lifestyles.
Recreating Delivery Favorites in the Home Kitchen
Conceptualized by creative agency Glassbox, the marketing effort kicks off with three flagship commercial films released in Hindi, Gujarati, and Bengali.
Each spot addresses common delivery choices—such as takeout staples—and demonstrates how easily and wholesome they can be prepared in the family kitchen. By reframing popular restaurant meals as doable home recipes, the narrative urges families to balance everyday convenience with long-term well-being.
"We want to encourage families to choose home-cooked food more often. For us, if Vitalife can play a small part in bringing more wholesome, home-cooked meals to the table, we’ve done our job."— Arun Harne, Chief Business Officer, Gokul Agro Resources
A Multi-Touchpoint Ecosystem Beyond Traditional Ads
The rollout extends beyond standard broadcast advertising to establish an ongoing brand presence through several integrated initiatives:
- Home-Cooked Food Index: An annual observational study tracking meal habits and home-cooking frequencies across Indian households over time.
- Creator Network: Targeted influencer partnerships across Gujarat, Punjab, Bengal, and Maharashtra showcasing regionally relevant home recipes.
- Targeted Media Distribution: Digital placement across Meta, YouTube, OTT platforms, and Connected TV (CTV) to reach health-conscious households in key regional markets.
According to Glassbox Co-Founder Anil Nair, the goal was to build a self-sustaining marketing architecture rather than a one-off promotional push, ensuring the message continues working long past the initial launch window.
Category Pivot: Targeting Consumer Habits Over Competitors
The campaign represents a departure from standard edible oil marketing, which typically emphasizes technical product attributes like low absorbency or processing techniques. Instead of competing on product parameters alone, Vitalife is shifting the conversation to focus on everyday lifestyle decisions.
Glassbox Co-Founder Geetanjali Bhattacharji highlighted that this marks the first time the category has addressed behavioral shifts rather than product-on-product comparisons. Supporting this view, Pankaj Gupta, Category Manager at Gokul Agro Resources, noted that the initiative seeks to make home-cooked meals appealing again by reinforcing that taste and health can easily coexist on the same plate.
Product Portfolio & Availability
Vitalife’s product range includes refined sunflower oil, kachi ghani mustard oil, and refined soyabean oil, fortified with essential vitamins A, D, and E. The complete line is available nationwide across major e-commerce marketplaces and general trade retail stores.
