G Square Campaign With MS Dhoni Highlights Zero-Cash Policy for Plotted Real Estate Investments
G Square Group launches a campaign film featuring MS Dhoni highlighting its zero-cash policy for plotted developments and transparent real estate transactions.
Real estate developer G Square Group has launched a new campaign film featuring cricket icon MS Dhoni, focusing on the company’s zero-cash policy for plotted developments and its push for greater transparency in property transactions. The sub-one-minute film blends cultural storytelling with product messaging, using a familiar social setting to bring attention to how property decisions are discussed in everyday life.
The film opens at a lively Tamil wedding celebration, a setting instantly recognisable to audiences in South India. After the festivities, a group of friends and relatives gather for casual conversation. As often happens in such social gatherings, the discussion turns toward life milestones. Someone poses a familiar question: “What’s next?” The moment captures a common social progression—from education to career, marriage, and eventually homeownership.
What begins as playful banter soon shifts toward the topic of buying property. The group initially discusses premium apartments as a potential investment, reflecting the typical aspirations of urban homebuyers. At this point, the narrative introduces Dhoni in an unexpected yet playful way. Entering the scene on a hoverboard while dressed in a traditional veshti, he becomes part of the group’s conversation rather than appearing as a conventional brand ambassador delivering a sales pitch.
Dhoni’s role in the film is deliberately understated. His calm, reassuring presence steers the conversation toward an alternative form of real estate investment—plotted developments. The narrative positions land investment as flexible and practical, suggesting it can offer long-term value while allowing buyers more freedom in how they develop their property over time.
The conversation then moves to the concerns that frequently influence property purchases: location, pricing, and trust in the transaction process. The campaign addresses these points directly, highlighting G Square’s projects as being located within city limits, offering strong connectivity, and priced competitively. A central message of the film is the company’s zero-cash policy for plotted developments, presented as an attempt to promote transparency in a sector where cash transactions have historically been common.
Alongside the storyline, the campaign weaves in references to the company’s scale and operational history. The narrative mentions the brand’s 13-plus years of operations, over 20,000 customers served, more than 5,000 acres delivered, and a presence across 20 cities. These details are introduced within the conversation rather than through a conventional voiceover, allowing the film to maintain a conversational tone.
Speaking about the campaign, Bala Ramajayam, Founder and Managing Director of G Square Group, said the partnership with Dhoni reflects shared values of trust and credibility. “Our continued association with MS Dhoni reflects the shared values of trust, credibility and consistency that define both the brand and the individual. As we take this partnership forward, this campaign is designed to clearly communicate our zero-cash policy and our commitment to transparent, ethical transactions,” he said.
The campaign has also gained visibility through Dhoni’s own social media channels, helping the film reach audiences beyond the brand’s traditional regional base. For real estate marketers, the campaign reflects a broader trend of using storytelling and celebrity credibility to address trust concerns in property transactions, particularly in the plotted development segment.
The film closes with the brand line: “Your Home. Your Dream. Your Choice.”
