Stop Overthinking, Start Dropping: BGMI’s New Campaign ‘Soch Kum, Khel Maximum’ Takes Aim at Gamer Hesitation
Discover BGMI’s latest campaign, ‘Soch Kum, Khel Maximum,’ conceptualised by 22feet. Explore how Krafton India is encouraging casual and instant gaming without the pressure of skill or schedules.
Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) has officially rolled out a vibrant new marketing blitz titled ‘Soch Kum, Khel Maximum’. Conceptualised by 22feet (part of Omnicom Advertising India), the campaign aims to dismantle the hesitation and overthinking that often deter casual gamers from diving back into the action.
Blending Humor with Everyday Decision-Making
At the heart of the campaign are four humorous films that spotlight everyday situations requiring meticulous second-guessing, sharply contrasting them with a decision that needs no overthinking at all: firing up BGMI and jumping straight into a match. By addressing common anxieties—such as whether a player's skill level is high enough or if they necessarily need a dedicated squad—the initiative repositions BGMI as an instant, accessible escape.
Simplifying Gameplay for Instant Fun
Weighing in on the new launch, Srinjoy Das, Director of BGMI Product Management and Marketing, Krafton India, shared: “BGMI is India’s most recognizable gaming franchise and this year we’ve worked hard to bring modes and maps which are extremely easy to pick up and play without thinking about the time it needs to master them. It’s casual, its instant, and doesn’t always need your squad or a schedule to play. ‘Soch Kum, Khel Maximum’ is all about that, just tap and jump into the lobby. Anytime!”
Ditching the "Gaming Resume" Mentality
Echoing a similar sentiment, Shyam Nair, Executive Creative Director at 22feet, added: “You shouldn’t need a gaming resume to join your friends for a game of BGMI. You play to have fun. Getting good can happen along the way. That’s the pressure we wanted to take off with ‘Soch Kum, Khel Maximum’. The campaign takes that hesitation and puts it where it belongs, those spectacularly questionable life decisions that could actually do with a second thought. Life has enough of those. Playing BGMI isn’t one of them.”
Amplifying the Conversation Across Digital Channels
Following the launch of the humorous films, the campaign is set to expand into a broader digital ecosystem. It will engage audiences through real-time conversations, viral internet moments, and a closer look at questionable online decisions, amplifying the core message primarily across BGMI’s official Instagram handles.
