According to reports, media giant Disney is getting ready to introduce its metaverse platform Starverse in India. After months of testing, the application has reportedly been prepared for release, according to a senior Disney executive who verified the news to a news outlet.
According to reports, Starverse will debut around the IPL in 2023. The platform was designed by Disney with the intention of improving sports fans' viewing experiences. Sports fans will be able to experience 3D immersion thanks to Starverse.
Users will be able to access the Starverse at scale for the first time, Sanjog Gupta, Head of Sports, Star & Disney India, told the news portal.
The mobile web can be used to access Starverse rather than a mobile application, which would limit access to individuals who have downloaded the app, according to Gupta.
The Disney executive also mentioned that Starverse users can expect an "always-on" experience thanks to the addition of new features throughout the year.
According to reports, Disney worked with a number of agencies to build Starverse's gamification, 3D models, and technical infrastructure.
